Our professional team of passionate educators ensure that you maximise the opportunities created during your Outdoor Education program. Our team are qualified in a range of Outdoor Recreation activities and First Aid, complementing the most up to date equipment and policies available.

Ian Robinson – Managing Director
Ian began working in Outdoor Education whilst studying teaching at Wollongong University. Immediately he saw the potential to educate students in an outdoor environment and truly believes in the outcomes that can be achieved. Since founding Southbound Adventures in 1993, Ian has taken pride in exceeding client expectations. Ian’s inspired leadership has also seen the Southbound Adventures team give back to the community through support and participation in numerous charitable events.

Andrew Banner – General Manager
Andrew has worked in Outdoor Education since 1994. He has coordinated countless school expeditions both within Australia and for Australian schools internationally. His management skills, from a range of industry experiences, assist in the smooth running of the business and design of our bespoke programs.

Ryan Todd – Operations Manager and Duke of Edinburgh Coordinator
Having studied a Bachelor of Applied Science in Adventure Ecotourism and a Certificate 4 in Outdoor Recreation, Ryan moved north to broaden his experience. His wealth of industry experience combined with an infectious enthusiasm and focus on client needs extends to providing each client with their own individual experience.

Andy Gwynne – Special Operations Manager
Andy combines his experience in the Australian Army with a career in Outdoor Education that began in 1992. Andy enjoys a challenge often designing and implementing high ropes courses, initiative activities and overseeing our Odyssey programs.

Jessie Tomkins – Staffing Manager
Jess brings a wealth of experiences to the company. Having travelled extensively throughout Europe, her personable nature combined with a natural ability to listen to our client and staff needs provides a trememdous foundation to our professional team. Jessie's high end communication skills assists with the management of all within the staffing team, ensuring that Southbound Adventures has the best team in the industry!

Katrina Wilkie – Logistics Coordinator
Upholing a world of experience in retail sales and management combined with a passion for all outdoor persuits in particular her snowboarding, Kat takes great pride in ensuring that the gear, logistics and catering for your program is second to none.

Saxon Mather – Program Director and Mountain Bike Coordinator
Saxon's lifelong passion for mountain biking and personable nature is the perfect combination for this role. In his spare time you will find Saxon riding trail across the world!

Sam Skyes – Program Director
A passionate and entheusiastic outdoor professional, Sam enjoys sharing his love for the great outdoors by providing memorable experiences for all.

Meika Quinn – Senior Outdoor Education Instructor and Assistant Program Director
Having completed her Certificate 4 traineeship with Southbound Adventures Meika is a naturally mature and professional leader and highly valued member of our team.

David Pierce Senior Outdoor Education Instructor and Logistic Support
Having completed his Certificate 4 traineeship with Southbound Adventures David is an integral part of our field team. David's infections energy naturally radiated throughout his groups providing many memorable moments and positive experiences for his groups.

Jacquie Evans – Certificate IV Trainee
After completing Southbound Adventurtes Outdoor Education Programs through school Jackie passionately continues to grow and develop her experience through her employment on our supported traineeship opportunities. Jacquie has never looked back and is extremely appreciative of the opportunity and prospect of being able to share mutual experiences with many more students.
