When purchasing specialist equipment from the Southbound Adventures Gear Shop, customers need to:

Our Gear Shop contains a variety of quality equipment from a number of suppliers. Some of these items have technical limitations, care instructions, and recommended usage parameters. You should always familiarise yourself with these factors, and only use equipment for the purpose it was designed.

The information we give on this website is given in good faith, but particularly where it can have a bearing on your safety, you should apply your own judgement before acting upon it.

Pricing and Taxes

All prices are shown in Australian Dollars (A$) and include 10% GST (Goods & Services Tax).

While we do our best to make sure prices and details shown on the site are correct, Southbound Adventures reserve the right to alter prices and or specifications when required.

Discounts & Coupons

Where customers are eligible for a discount or promotional offer, they will be provided with a coupon that will reduce the total cost of their order at the checkout stage.

A coupon can only be entered once per sale at the Checkout Stage. If you redeem a coupon and then continue to add items to your cart, these additional items can not have the coupon applied to them.

There is also a special option for payment via School Account (only available as a special offer for School Program participants). Information on using this option is provided to parents during the School Outdoor Education Program Orientation Night.

Postage is sent via Express or Priority Post throughout Australia. Every effort is made to have goods posted within 5 days of ordering, should there be any longer delay we will contact you to confirm this.

We regret that we cannot normally supply goods outside of Australia. If you specifically require an order to be delivered overseas, we will quote postage for these on an individual basis and you will be responsible for all taxes and charges at the destinantion. Southbound Adventures will accept the return of faulty goods within 28 days of the purchase date. Please include in a covering letter giving as much detail of the fault(s) as possible and if you would like the product refunded or exchanged. We invariably have to see goods before being able to assess the fault. In some cases it will be necessary to return goods to the manufacturer/importer for them to test. This process may take 2 - 4 weeks.

Warranty repairs may be repaired, replaced or refunded at the discretion of the manufacturer. The purchaser is responsible at their own expense for return of the product to Southbound Adventures.

We will acknowledge receipt of returned goods within three working days of receipt and try to keep you informed of the progress of your return.

All goods are supplied as ‘fit for their purpose’, and of ‘merchantable quality’, but it is rarely possible to express the length of life as an exact figure as it will depend on the extent and type of usage. This applies particularly to climbing or other items which are safety critical. Always err on the side of caution, and discard items, however new they are, if they are subject to excessive strain or wear.

In purchasing goods from Southbound Adventures Gear Shop you accept that

• Without providing this information, Southbound Adventures will not be able to process your order.
