Southbound Adventures is an organisation committed to providing safe, high quality experiential opportunities for personal growth and development. We seek to provide a stimulating environment in which to grow individually and interpersonally through personal achievement and shared experience.
As a provider of quality outdoor education, Southbound Adventures shall ensure that program provided will be individually tailored to suit the particular needs of the school. Southbound Adventures, jointly with the school, will direct these programs toward personal development and group cooperation through the process of experiential learning.
Southbound Adventures offers a range of adventure activities that will enhance the schools own educational objectives. All programs chosen would offer the opportunity of individual challenge through a variety of adventure activities. You can expect that these to include; bushwalking, abseiling, rock climbing, canoeing, sea kayaking, high and low ropes course, initiatives, caving, mountain biking and navigation. Southbound Adventures also conducts a comprehensive series of Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme trips at Bronze (including a training day), Silver and Gold level. The outdoor activities offered being hiking, canoeing and mountain biking. For Year 11 students the outdoor recreation component for 2 unit PDHPE is conducted over a four-day period.
Schools can choose from a variety of program venues that include; National Parks in close proximity to Sydney, Southern Highlands, and the South and North Coast's of NSW. Extended wilderness programs are conducted in Tasmania and New Zealand National Parks and World Heritage areas. In addition, through an extensive network, Southbound Adventures is able to organise and coordinate overseas adventure travel to most destinations worldwide.
